Using the console-mounted Dynamic Mode Dial, drivers may preset Comfort and Normal as their default mode (enabled upon engine start), while the Sport and Individual modes can be selected after engine startup. The selected mode is then displayed on the Multi-Information Display located between the tachometer and speedometer.
Comfort mode optimizes throttle response, shifting, electric power steering and SH-AWD® rear-wheel torque-vectoring for the most luxurious driving experience. This setting makes the RDX relaxed and easy to drive.
Normal mode enhances throttle, SH-AWD® rear-wheel torque-vectoring control, electric power steering (EPS) and, on Advance trims, the adaptive damper system (ADS) to sharpen vehicle dynamics. This setting provides direct and sport-tuned response and feel.
Sport mode adjusts the features from Normal mode and adds adjustments to transmission shift mapping and Active Sound Control (ASC) to maximize the driver experience.
Individual mode allows drivers to independently select their desired setting (Comfort, Normal or Sport) for each of the controlled dynamic systems mentioned above It also allows for adjustments to the interior lighting schemes.
