Helps maximize power and fuel efficiency by unobtrusively switching between 3- and 6-cylinder operation.

• VCM^® works in conjunction with Active Control Engine Mounts (ACM) for seamless transition between 3- and 6-cylinder modes.
• When high power is required, the engine operates on all six cylinders.
• When power demands are low, the engine uses just one bank of three cylinders.
• Transition between 3- and 6-cylinder operation is usually imperceptible to the driver.
