Integrated Dynamics System

The Integrated Dynamics System (IDS) automatically and seamlessly fine-tunes the vehicle on a real-time basis to help maximize performance and driver enjoyment, regardless of conditions. In keeping with the expanded performance capabilities of the Type S, it features special IDS settings that offer a greater range of differentiation.

Systems adjusted via the Dynamic Mode Dial include:

  • Throttle response
  • Automatic transmission function
  • Active Sound Control (ASC)
  • Belt-driven Variable-Ratio Electric Power Steering (EPS)
  • Adaptive Damper System (ADS)
  • Air Suspension
  • Super Handling All-Wheel-Drive™ (SH-AWD®)
  • Idle Stop functionality
  • Interior lighting theme

Using the console-mounted Dynamic Mode Dial, drivers may preset Comfort or Normal as their default mode (enabled upon engine start), while the Lift, Snow, Sport, Sport+ and Individual modes can be selected after engine startup.
