Double Wishbone Front Suspension

Inspired by the NSX Type S, the MDX's front double wishbone suspension is engineered to provide inspired handling performance and an engaged and connected feel. Contributing directly to this, lateral stiffness is up 22 percent compared to the previous MDX's MacPherson strut design.

The front suspension has been optimized with compact and high-strength components, including lightweight forged-aluminum lower wishbones, steering knuckles and lower damper forks that reduce unsprung weight for better response. The suspension geometry is specially tuned to yield communicative on-center steering feel and excellent response and stability. The system also minimizes steering disturbances, such as torque steer and road kickback through the steering wheel, making the MDX feel truly “planted” even on demanding roads.
