SAFETY AND DRIVER ASSISTIVE

Low-Speed Braking Control

When the vehicle is driving forward or reversing between 1 and 6 mph, the Low-Speed Braking Control69 system uses information from sonar sensors on the front and rear bumpers to detect objects in front of or behind the vehicle and then assess if there is danger of a collision. Examples of detected objects include vehicles, utility poles, walls, and even glass (such as on a storefront). If an object is detected, the system provides visual and audible alerts and applies throttle control and braking.

The system can be turned off but will default to on after the vehicle is turned off and restarted.
