Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT)

The Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) offers smooth and precise gear ratio transitions and excellent acceleration matched with efficient low-rpm cruising.

  • The CVT can select the optimum ratio almost instantly to best suit the driving conditions and accelerator pedal setting.
  • Standard paddle shifters let the driver have added control – ideal for performance driving or mountainous terrain.
  • When the paddle shifters are used, the transmission operates in 7-speed mode and the ratio number is displayed in the instrument panel.
  • D mode is used for normal driving or when temporarily using the paddle shifters to operate in 7-speed manual-shift mode.
  • S mode is used for stronger acceleration and engine braking or when using the paddle shifters to operate continuously in 7-speed manual-shift mode.
