Acura’s first-ever all-electric model—the 2024 Acura ZDX—is set to redefine Acura Precision Crafted Performance as it enters the electric age. ACCELERATION THAT’S SIMPLY ELECTRIFYING

ZDX Type S is built on a state-of-the-art electric vehicle platform with flexible battery architecture, a low center of gravity and 50/50 weight distribution. All-wheel drive is standard on Type S, with front and rear electric motors totaling 499 horsepower. Electric power and response is instantaneous, with no shifting (or downshifting) required. Remember to breathe. The 102 kWh lithium-ion battery positioned beneath the passenger compartment is common with the ZDX A‑Spec, and for the Type S, it helped it receive a 278 mile EPA range rating.⁸⁵ And you can drive with confidence if you take advantage of Complimentary Service for 12 months/12,000 miles.⁹¹

Inside the 5-passenger ZDX Type S, the driver-oriented cockpit features high-end materials and an open, welcoming feel accented with sophisticated premium details. Ambient Lighting Control features 26 selectable colors with brightness control for two different zones, and can be linked to the Drive Mode setting. Clever storage and convenience features include a versatile center console with roomy storage and standard wireless phone charging.

CONNECTED AND IN CONTROL

ZDX Type S features a standard 11-inch Driver Information Cluster and an 11.3-inch Center Information Screen with an intuitive touchscreen interface. Wireless Apple CarPlay^®49 and Android Auto™⁵⁰ compatibility is standard. With Acura’s first integration of Google built-in,⁸⁹ ZDX Type S offers seamless on-the-go connectivity with apps like Google Assistant and Google Maps, which can be displayed on either screen, offering convenient route planning with recommended charging stations to optimize travel time.

ZDX Type S debuts a stunning new Acura color – Double Apex Blue Pearl, which was previewed on the Acura Precision EV Concept. The ZDX Type S will also be available in distinctive Type S signature Tiger Eye Pearl. Unique exterior design details include the latest evolution of Acura’s signature front fascia, with the brand’s iconic Chicane DRLs, Jewel Eye™ LED headlights and seamless Diamond Pentagon with 3D embossed diamond pattern and an LED-illuminated surround.

AGGRESSIVE AGILITY

ZDX Type S defines Acura handling performance for the electrified era with height adjustable air suspension, performance-tuned adaptive dampers and massive 15.3-inch Brembo™ front brakes with eye-catching 6-piston yellow calipers. Drivers can customize the driving experience with four drive modes, including SPORT mode for maximum acceleration and response.

ATTITUDE COMES STANDARD

The athletic stance and low and wide proportions of the ZDX are complemented in the Type S model by 22-inch machine-finished wheels, the largest ever for an Acura model, and wide 275/40ZR22 self-sealing tires. Available high-performance summer tires and Berlina Black wheels further increase Type S’ performance capabilities—and its curb cred’.

REINVENT THE WAY YOU DRIVE

In ZDX Type S, the traditional transmission selector you would normally find on the center console is gone. And so are the usual Acura steering-wheel mounted paddle shifters. Instead, you'll find an intuitive fingertip shift lever positioned on the right side of the steering column. Regen on Demand offers increased deceleration when you press and hold a convenient steering wheel paddle. A drive in the ZDX Type S feels new, but very natural.

PLUGS RIGHT INTO YOUR LIFE

Recharging on the go is quick and convenient with DC Fast Charging at rates up to 190 kW. Built-in Google Maps can initiate preconditioning of the EV battery if you’re headed to a DC Fast Charging station, and then estimate the charging time required to reach your next destination. ZDX offers top-in-class, comprehensive home and public charging options. Choose an Acura home charger or use the Acura Smartphone App to access more than 90 percent of existing DC Fast Charging networks. ZDX owners will also have access to IONNA, a new high-speed joint venture charging network in the United States and Canada.

A STUNNING SOUNDTRACK

ZDX A-Spec and ZDX Type S are the first Acura models to feature the immersive luxury audio experience of Bang & Olufsen, the respected Danish audiophile brand. The specially designed ZDX system has 18 speakers, 14-channels of amplification and a subwoofer to deliver powerful and spectacularly detailed sound. Bang & Olufsen’s latest 3D Sound Control and exclusive Beosonic feature offers four distinct audio moods: Bright, Energetic, Warm and Relaxed.

CRUISE HANDS FREE

With the standard AcuraWatch™ 360+ system, ZDX Type S introduces Hands Free Cruise⁸⁸ driver assistance technology to the Acura lineup, enabling hands-free driving on up to 400,000 miles of compatible roads, while the driver remains in control of the vehicle. ZDX Type S' AcuraWatch™ 360+ also features the first Automatic Parking Assist system in an Acura, which helps take the stress out of parallel parking.
