Drives each rear wheel with a computer-controlled electric motor for superior traction and handling in a much wider range of driving situations than any purely mechanical system.

• Each motor can apply power or capture regenerative braking energy.
• When cornering, power may be applied to the outside rear wheel while regenerative braking energy is captured from the inside rear wheel, helping steer the vehicle.
• Torque vectoring reduces front tire cornering loads, minimizing understeer and enhancing steering precision.
• The electric motors are lighter and more efficient than a conventional all-wheel drive system’s driveshaft and rear differential.
