3-Motor Hybrid System

The Sport Hybrid SH-AWD system combines small-engine efficiency with big-engine power; three electric motors enable the performance-enhancing capabilities of torque-vectoring all-wheel drive.

  • One electric motor in the transmission case drives the front wheels and captures regenerative braking energy.
  • A Twin Motor Unit (TMU) individually powers or regeneratively brakes each rear wheel.
